On this child nursing course, which is regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), you’ll develop key clinical skills in our fully equipped simulated children’s ward using our patient simulators. You’ll also hear first-hand experiences and viewpoints from service users and carers, who are part of our Public Partnership Group. These include children's wards, children’s hospitals, accident and emergency departments, and neonatal intensive care. Opportunities are also available to work with specialist nurses in a range of community settings, including children’s hospices, health centres and mainstream and specialist schools.
