Our research lies at the forefront of fundamental physics, and this MSc allows you to explore modern experimental and theoretical particle physics. You can choose to take an experimental or theoretical focus, through subjects such as: the theoretical understanding of space, time and matter analysing the results of world-leading particle physics experiments data-intensive science and machine learning. The Department is a founder member of SEPnet, the South East Physics Network of physics departments, which supports vital research, teaching and development in the South East.
