AS in Chemistry - ACS

Chemistry is the study of all matter found in living structures, geological formations and human-created products. Chemists explore the molecular structure of matter in order to develop theories about how such structures work and apply these theories to the development of products that range from pharmaceuticals to heat shields.The AS chemistry program is designed so that students may earn an associate degree in science and transfer into the third year of the bachelor of science (BS) program at the University of Cincinnati College of Arts and Sciences (A&S), provided all other admission requirements of that college are met.The AS chemistry is a rigorous program of study intended for students seeking careers as professional chemists, often with an advanced degree in chemistry.
