Engineering is the design, construction and operation of structures, machines and systems using established scientific principles. Engineers put scientific knowledge to practical use, serving a critical role in today's increasingly complex world. The Pre-Engineering program provides the appropriately prepared student with the first year toward completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. You will need three to four more years of study to earn your bachelor’s degree, depending on the engineering discipline you select. Most engineering degrees require five years of study.
