SUNY Stony Brook University

Our Art History and Criticism major offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary and individually crafted curriculum. You'll learn about the foundations of Western art at the introductory level, and then choose to specialize in a certain area, or continue to explore more broadly across different fields and perspectives, from ancient to modern and contemporary. Our proximity to New York City’s world-renowned museums and galleries offers extensive opportunities for research, internships, and professional networking.
