Program Description: Business Analytics: The confluence of the availability of big data, methodological developments, and explosion in computing power and storage capacity has given rise to the popularity of business analytics in a wide range of industries across public and private sectors. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program with an option in Business Analytics focuses on preparing students for careers in a very fast-growing field of business analytics. The program provides them with a strong foundation of business analytics to effectively address the opportunities and challenges opened up by massive amounts of data, methodological developments, and the explosion in computing power and storage capacity. Business Law: The Department of Business Law offers a course of study leading to a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an option in Business Law. This program prepares students to analyze complex problems, think critically and communicate effectively, while learning the legal principles pertinent to making business decisions.Financial Analysis, Risk Management and Insurance, Financial Planning: The department offers a B.S. in Business Administration (BSBA) with three options: Financial Analysis, which provides a general education in financial theory and practice. Financial Planning, which prepares students for careers as personal financial planners. Risk Management and Insurance, which prepares students for careers in risk management and insurance.Global Supply Chain Management: Global Supply Chain Management, also known as the value chain or logistics network management, consists of a network of suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, distribution centers, wholesalers and retailers. Management: The field of management encompasses all of the processes, skills and techniques necessary to accomplish organizational goals with and through other people. These include such primary functions as planning, organizing, leading, staffing and controlling. Managers are responsible for carrying out these functions effectively and efficiently while balancing the needs of all their constituencies, including customers, employees, owners and other organizational stakeholders.Marketing: Marketing is a broad field that encompasses a range of important activities for all types of domestic and international businesses. Students also gain an understanding of how to manage brand success with the coherent integration of products and services their sale and distribution through multiple channels marketing communications programs including advertising and promotions using traditional and digital media and effective pricing policies.Real Estate: The option in Real Estate covers both theoretical and practical aspects of real estate and provides an academic foundation for careers in real estate.Systems and Operations Management: The program focuses on developing skills for problem solving, critical thinking, communication and the use of constantly changing technology. These skills are needed to deal with a variety of decisions made by managers in manufacturing, service and public organizations.
