Museum Studies allows students the opportunity to learn about the history and philosophy of different types of museums and about the different skills that are needed in museum administration, museum education and exhibit design. The program provides students with an introduction to courses on material culture, decorative arts, historic preservation and museum ethics.All Museum Studies students will complete an internship during their course of study. This internship will take place in the daily operation of a museum or related organization and include a specialized project.
