The Studio Art program is designed to provide a broad art experience. The eight courses of the studio minor include Art History and classes selected from nine areas of specialization: ceramics, digital art, drawing, jewelry/metals, oil painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and watercolor. This program provides a cohesive artistic introduction to media, technical skills and conceptual skills.Studio art at OSU is dedicated to excellence in all forms of art creation, research and education. Our department has a highly-active faculty who exhibit nationally and internationally, and whose scholarly work is consistently cited for its excellence. When you enroll in this major, you will have the opportunity to participate in student exhibitions, attend art field trips and discover and develop your own artistic expressions.
