The Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies is an interdisciplinary degree that provides students with knowledge of human cultures, as well as intellectual and practical skills to engage complexity, diversity and change. As a student in the program, you will be empowered to tackle the complex problems of the 21st century - and you will be studying in the heart of a city that was once the capital of the Confederacy and is now making headlines for social justice. When you graduate, you’ll be ready to apply your skills in law, education, business, government, industry or in any of the many settings where racial justice and equity are at the forefront. Students in this accelerated Master's program will learn to apply the disciplinary knowledge of Africana studies to pedagogical theory and teaching approaches.
