The Department of Art offers the B.A. and B.F.A. degree in Studio Art. Students pursuing the B.A. degree need only apply to UMaine there are no additional admissions requirements. Students admitted to the B.A. program may apply to the B.F.A. program any time after their third semester. The Department of Art’s Studio Art program (BA & BFA) fosters an inspiring learning environment to promote creativity and technical virtuosity. It encourages aspiring artists torefine skills in various media and establish a foundation in the liberal arts and sciences.The major prepares students to make visionary contributions to our media-rich world.
