The Bachelor of Science is designed for students planning to go into a research career in biochemistry, medicine, clinical chemistry or other areas of, whereas the Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry offers the flexibility to support careers in teaching, medicine, and other non-research focused pursuits.The Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry is a professional degree designed for students planning careers in biochemistry, medicine, clinical chemistry or other health-related areas of chemistry. The program includes advanced coursework in biochemistry, associated credits in biology, physics, and mathematics, plus fulfillment of university and college core curriculum requirements. The Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry has a more structured curriculum than the Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry.The Bachelor of Arts with a major in Biochemistry is a four-year major designed to prepare students to teach sciences at the high school level in the areas of biochemistry, chemistry and biology. Additionally, the program serves well those who wish to go into medicine, dentistry or other biologically related professional programs of study.

Beginning freshman from international high school:-
Graduation from a high school recognized by the home country ministry of education, Official transcripts/diplomas (in native language and English) showing all courses and marks of final three years of secondary school
Students with a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.25 or higher are guaranteed admission to UNT. Students' GPAs will be standardized on a 4.0 GPA scale once transcripts are submitted.
Beginning freshman from U.S. high school:-
Minimum of three years and graduation from an accredited high school in the U.S., Official transcripts, showing rank in class through at least junior year, plus graduation date, U.S. graduates only. Send SAT or ACT scores
