The University of Toledo Health Sciences Program introduces you to a variety of health professions through a diverse curriculum of sciences and interdisciplinary coursework. With the Bachelor of Science degree, you’ll develop the foundational healthcare knowledge you need to begin clinical careers in healthcare or advance to medical school, athletic training or physical therapy school, physician associate school and dental school. Specialize Your Education Within the B.S. in Health Sciences, you’ll pursue one of four concentrations depending on your career interests and goals. The Human Performance and Fitness Promotion concentration is designed to give students an in-depth understanding of how the human body responds and adapts to exercise and how exercise can be used to promote health and wellness. The Pre-Athletic Training and Pre-Physical Therapy concentration prepares students for admission to graduate-level programs in athletic training or physical therapy. The Pre-Physician Assistant concentration prepares students for admission to graduate-level programs in Physician Associate.
