The Industrial Management and Applied Engineering Technology program at the department of Industrial Management and Technology offers students an academically challenging learning experience that employs the close guidance of our department professors, all whom are experienced professionals in their respective fields. To meet the aims of the program mission statement, the department has incorporated goals that are designed to ensure industrial technology graduates are provided with:The basic math, science, and business knowledge needed for effective use of the fundamental technical, process, and management skills related to the degree field.The ability to use software and hardware to solve technological problems, along with communication skills in written, electronic, and verbal presentation formats.The ability to function and collaborate as professional and ethically responsible team members and individuals.Program OutcomesUpon graduation from the program at the department of Industrial Management and Technology at TAMUK, undergraduate students will demonstrate the following skills:The ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and science in problem solving activities and industrial applications.The ability to demonstrate the understanding of technological fundamentals, technological processes, and technological management. The ability to utilize graphics design and modeling software, manufacturing-based control software, construction-based control software, and spreadsheet and database applications.The ability to write technical reports, prepare electronic presentations, and give verbal presentations.The ability to demonstrate understanding of team roles and processes, participate in team situations and group projects, and identify and suggest ethical solutions for ethical problems and dilemmas.
