The School of Education & Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver attracts students who are passionate about education and mental health. That’s why our graduates are prepared to make immediate and life-long impacts on people, communities and the world. The Minor in Teacher Education purposefully integrates fieldwork and coursework. It is designed to grow your teaching skills and knowledge to serve all students’ learning. This minor pairs nicely with a range of CLAS majors including Biology, Communication, English, Environmental Science, Ethnic Studies, Geography, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Spanish. The Teacher Education Minor is combined with an existing non-SEHD major and degree. Students must satisfy all requirements as outlined below, and those of the School of Education & Human Development applicable to the minor.
Secondary or High School Transcripts - You are required to submit complete transcripts from All secondary or high schools you have attended - even if you did not graduate from the school.
IB Diploma –
Graduated: International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma or Bilingual Diploma) and Transcripts for Grades 9-12 (or Grades 9-11) issued by high school
Currently in Grade 12 - Transcripts for Grades 9-11 issued by “high school”
SAT or ACT scores are NOT required; however, submitting them can improve you chances of admission. They will not be used to deny your application.
