the new B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology combines a core curriculum in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with a depth of knowledge in Cell Biology coursework that is supported with substantial laboratory training. The B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, includes foundational courses in cell biology that establish the normal processes, then expands with courses that reflect when that biology goes awry (Cancer Biology, Molecular Basis of Disease, Human Genetics, etc.). This curriculum is rooted in the molecular basis of both normal and disease states that will support students who are interested in both professional (medical, dental) schools and graduate education in a broad range of life science disciplines to have a strong record and background for future success.
