The Physics Teaching Option is provided to physics majors who plan to teach high school physics. One would major in physics (e.g., traditional physics) and complete a minor in profession education from the College of Education and Human Services. This option will provide you the necessary credentials to teach. Students choosing this option are also encouraged to apply to our Physics Teaching Apprenticeship Program (next tab) in order to get ''on the job'' training in the classroom. Students choosing this option are also encouraged to complete a physics teaching internship offered by the College of Education and Human Services.

Admissions decisions at UNF are rendered based on academic merit. The state of Florida has implemented minimum admission standards for freshman applicants to all Florida public state universities. In order to be considered, students must have a minimum 2.5 recalculated GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet minimum test score requirements.Regardless of when they graduated from high school, students applying as first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants are required to submit either SAT, ACT and/or CLT test scores. UNF does not require the essay section of the SAT or ACT.A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based) A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS
