The Accounting Technician Level 1 Certificate provides skills necessary for men and women to function in entry-level bookkeeping positions. Emphasis is on basic accounting, spreadsheet development and industry standard accounting system software courses as well as enhanced computer skills, communications skills, professionalism, and business math. You’ll learn basic accounting, spreadsheet development, and bookkeeping for business, including sole proprietorships, partnerships and corporations. You will be able to perform accounting functions both manually and on the computer while gaining experience with accounting, spreadsheet and industry-standard database software such as QuickBooks. You’ll develop computer skills, communication skills and the professionalism you need to succeed.
