The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Criminology & Criminal Justice is particularly suited for students with an interest in computer fraud investigation, crime scene analysis, criminal investigation, studies in deviance, law and social control strategies, terrorism, or who have a general broad-based academic interest in crime and deviance studies.Criminal justice is a field that offers many employment opportunities, stable employment, and often exciting jobs. Recent graduates work for Homeland Security, the Secret Service, Probation and Parole, and many other state and federal agencies. Other have successfully completed law school and now work as attorneys. Other graduates work as drug rehabilitation specialists and as offender/victim advocates. Other recent graduates have been awarded paid assistantships to pursue advanced degrees.

Students graduating from US high schools must meet high school GPA, performance in core subjects, academic honours, and standardized test scores. Students graduating from Schools Outside the US: GPA will be calculated on all coursework, not just core subjects. UA considers applicants with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for admission. International applicants must submit an official qualifying English Proficiency score for one of the following: TOEFL iBT score of 79 and above; TOEFL paper-based score of 550 and above; TOEFL Essentials score of 8.5 and above; IELTS score of 6.0 or above; Pearsons Test of English score of 54 or above; Duolingo English Test score: 51 or above (test dates before July 15, 2019); 110 or above (test dates after July 15, 2019). Application Priority Deadline: July 2 for fall admission; November 5 for spring admission; April 5 for summer admission.
