The entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, led by Program Director Dr. Marilyn Moffat, prepares students of all backgrounds for careers in physical therapy through a comprehensive course of study combined with supervised clinical practice.As a Doctor of Physical Therapy student, you will develop into a competent, autonomous physical therapy practitioner with the expertise and skills to:Examine and provide interventions for patients/clients across the life span facing impairments, functional limitations, injuries, and/or disabilitiesMaintain and promote patient/client fitness, wellness, health, and quality of lifeEnsure availability, accessibility, and excellence in the delivery of physical therapy services to patients/clients across the life spanUtilize research to support practiceAssist in the development of and advocacy for health policy standards tied to physical therapy practiceEstablish a plan for professional development and life-long learning
