Economic Development (Graduate Certificate)

Wayne State's economic development certificate is designed for students who wish to combine a graduate degree (master's or Ph.D.) with a specialty in urban, regional and state economic development. The Graduate Certificate Program in Economic Development equips students with conceptual and methodological tools with which to pursue economic development activities in state, regional and local governments non-profit and community organizations private associations such as chambers of commerce or private businesses and civic institutions engaged in economic development.Eligible students are those who already have a graduate degree, or who are pursuing graduate studies in one of five units on campus: business administration, economics, political science, industrial relations and urban planning.
