Master of Business Administration - Finance

The full-time/day program designed for accelerated completion with a group of peer students. Students take between 8 and 14 credit hours per semester of daytime classes. Students can complete the minimum of 40 hours in as few as 12 months. Business leaders with the ability to apply complex economic and accounting concepts in decision making are in great demand. Managerial decisions, as well as timely analyses of investment alternatives, require input from financially educated professionals. The finance concentration prepares managers for successful interaction in four possible areas: corporate finance, investment/portfolio management, finance markets/banking and international finance. Topics in the finance courses assist students in preparation for the CFA exam. Through an emphasis on specific analytical skills, MBA students who choose the finance concentration emerge with useful knowledge to help them succeed in any field. Additional finance courses sharpen students’ ability to weigh costs and benefits - an essential trait for effective business leaders. A Master of Science in finance is also offered.
