Master of Education in School Counseling

The BGSU master’s program in school counseling will give you the knowledge and skills you need to become a licensed school counselor in elementary, middle or secondary schools. Students who complete the M.Ed. coursework will satisfy Ohio State Board of Education academic requirements for K-12 school counselor licensure in Ohio. Our graduates are highly qualified, ethical and professional counselors prepared to work in a variety of school settings. Most school counseling classes are face to face in the evening and cannot be completed online. You will need to be available during traditional working hours to complete a practicum and internship.
