The M.S. program in the Boone Pickens School of Geology (BPSoG) provides you with opportunities for research in the areas of petroleum geosciences, water, environment and climate, earth structure and dynamics, and computational geosciences. The mission of the M.S. program is to prepare you for careers in the industry or government, or entry into Ph.D. programs.Curriculum30 credit hours total (six hours for thesis)Maintain minimum 3.0 GPAEight hours can be in Advanced Studies in Geology (GEOL 5990)Research Methods and Techniques in Geosciences (GEOL 5243) requiredComplete plan of study, including formation of research committeeDefend thesis proposalComplete and successfully defend thesis
