The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science offers work leading to degrees in Mathematics at both the master’s and doctoral levels. Study and research is available in the general areas of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, probability and statistics, mathematical computer science, and the teaching of mathematics. All teaching assistants are required to take MATH 589 before or concurrently with their initial teaching assignments.
