The Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Engineering offered by the Department of Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University-Kingsville prepares students for careers in research, teaching and environmental management. As environmental issues transcend media and geographic borders, it is increasingly important for the environmental professional to be able to address issues and derive solutions from a holistic basis. Students enrolled in the program are exposed to the fundamental principles, tools and applications in Environmental Systems Engineering spanning eight areas:Air Quality,Water Quality,Solid/Hazardous Waste,Ecological Engineering,Natural Resources Management,Environmental Systems,Environmental Informatics andEnvironmental Biotechnology.
