The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Public Health program at Wayne State University prepares you to address public health issues by teaching you how to promote healthy lifestyles, detect and limit health disparities and research disease and injury prevention. While anchored by a strong core of public health curriculum, the public health major is highly interdisciplinary, giving students free rein to pull health-related electives from a variety of other disciplines related to their core interests. Through the public health degree program, you learn how to assess and prevent health disparities. You'll also find yourself exploring various health-related topics with courses centered around the well-being of individuals, communities, populations and the world.
