The Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership for Data Literacy program is part of our varied options in the Administration and Supervision program at MTSU. This program is designed from an interdisciplinary team including faculty in Colleges of Education and Basic and Applied Sciences, as well as business partners, and also K12 district partners. Data Science competencies are increasingly important for students to be well prepared for professional opportunities and engage in civic discourse. The concentration in Teacher Leadership for Data Literacy is designed to:
Equip educators to meaningfully gather, interpret, and apply relevant data to improve their practice
Empower teachers to enhance their students' ability to think analytically and through the use of data to make data informed action to improve learning. The Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision with a concentration in Leadership in Teaching Data Literacy requires completion of 30 hours with a minimum of 15 hours at the 7000 level
