What is student life like at York?
MA in Public History
The University of York campus is quite lively and there is always something going on both on campus and in the City Centre. There are numerous societies for students to join and participate in. Outside of the university there are a lot of organizations and things to do such as dance and cooking classes! Outside of class, I like to go to the York Sport Centre, take walks through the Museum Gardens, and go to the cinema! 😊

There is always something going on on campus or in town. Every college has its own events e.g. coffee club in Wentworth where I am living. If you are into sports, you can join a club and try something new. It's great to meet new people! I also like to go to the student cinema that plays recent movies on campus for a small entrance fee :)

Student life at York is lively! ✨ There’s always something to do (pretty much every day or at least every week) in terms of events going on around campus. Even when there’s no events from the university or societies, students could enjoy the great things York has to offer like our student cinema, lush greenery and biodiversity, as well as our pubs and eateries on campus. My favorite events are definitely the ones with free food, like the free barbecue from different societies on campus or the free breakfast from my college, Goodricke, on Thursdays. I also love the cultural events on campus like the Chinese New Year and Christmas celebrations on campus. They’re always so fun and again have great food! 😋
BA/BSc in Biotechnology
Student life is awesome in York. Our university is diverse, international, and its green and beautiful campus is great to spend time there with friends, make a bbq on a nice sunny day and feed the geese! York is a truly amazing city, with lots to do as a student, like bars, pubs, events and lots of historic places to visit. My favourite thing to do is walking around the York City walls and have nice lattes around there. :)
