The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a two year equivalent full-time program, awarded for research that demonstrates that the candidate has made a contribution to knowledge in a particular field of study by presenting new facts or by demonstrating an independent critical ability to evaluate existing material in a new light. The minimum requirement for admission to a MPhil degree is: Completion of a Master of Research (MRes) with at least 65% in second year; orA two-year Master degree with a major research component at Credit level (65% or greater).Peer-reviewed research output may be taken into consideration for admission to the program.
