The Bachelor of Arts in Global Political Economy takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of international political, social, environmental and economic issues. The program brings together faculty and course offerings across five disciplines, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of global political economic relations and its effect on local communities.The Global Political Economy program is a unique interdisciplinary approach for the study of international political, social, environmental, and economic issues. It brings together faculty and course offerings across five disciplines to give you a superb education in global political economic relations, and their effects on local communities. The program integrates courses in Political Studies, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, and History, and for Advanced degree students, two core courses in Global Political Economy. The multi-faceted, interdisciplinary Global Political Economy (GPE) program is a balanced and innovative opportunity to deepen your understanding of global political and economic relations. It prepares students for informed and effective action beyond the university.

Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.Direct entry applicants are those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college.Advanced entry applicants are those who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution.
