The Spanish language is of enormous social, political and economic importance. Today, there are close to 500 million speakers of Spanish worldwide, including in Spain, Latin America and North America. Students in the Spanish program will develop Spanish language skills and learn about the literary and cultural heritage of Spain and Latin AmericaBA General 90 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0 in all courses in the chosen major. This program is particularly suited to students who wish to seek employment or enter a professional academic program following graduation from Arts.
