As a student in the English program, you will explore an array of literary genres and develop creative and interpretive skills. Our program provides comprehensive historical coverage to expand students' writing skills, and analysis and argumentation to express ideas clearly and effectively.English literature courses cover literature from the medieval period to the present and provide instruction in theoretical approaches and critical methods. Courses in film, theatre and creative writing are also offered.BA Honours 120 credit hours of study with a minimum GPA of 3.00 in all courses. Students do not complete a major and a minor, but rather an honours subject, or two subjects for the double honours program. This is the preferred program for students looking to pursue graduate studies.
