The Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management degree program combines business studies and technical training with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning. A solid foundation in applied aspects of science, technology and business provides graduates with sufficient breadth and expertise to become competent managers in the environmental, equine or food industry fields. Students begin studying in one of the following management majors during the first semester: Environmental Management, Equine Management or Food Industry Management.Students will be encouraged to integrate their academic program with a well-planned series of employment activities in the summer months and to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills in on-campus and community activities. There is a strong commitment in the curriculum to personal development and students are encouraged to identify goals that they wish to accomplish throughout their university career.

The secondary school graduation certificate which would admit a student to an internationally recognized university in their home country is normally acceptable for admission to the University of Guelph.Students presenting predicted, interim or midterm grade 12/senior level results may be considered for a conditional offer of admission if all prerequisite courses are completed or in progress and meeting the minimum grade requirements. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with 6 subjects: 3 Higher Level and 3 Standard Level with a minimum score of 28. Bonus marks from TOK and EE will be taken into consideration. Prerequisites for the major must be taken at the IB DP2 level.Note: For programs with Advanced Math, students must present one of: SL/HL Analysis & Approaches, or HL Applications & Interpretations. Math Studies/Standard Level Applications and Interpretations are not an acceptable prerequisite for programs that require Advanced Math or Calculus.
