ماذا سوف أتعلم؟

The Agroecology program gives students an understanding of how we can achieve economically sustainable agricultural production while conserving resources and maintaining the integrity of our ecosystems. Agroecology specializes in the management and conservation of our natural and agricultural resources. Agroecologists develop environmentally friendly weed, insect and disease controls and also help farmers conserve their land and protect Canadas wildlife and water supply. The Bachelor of Science (Agroecology) is the ideal program for students with a passion for our planet. Students will learn the biological and physical components of ecosystems, and how to achieve economically sustainable agricultural production while conserving resources and maintaining the integrity of our ecosystems.

Direct entry applicants are those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college. Direct entry applicants require the followingManitoba high school graduation including 5 full credits at the Grade 12 level in courses designated S, G, U, or CA minimum average of 70 per cent over the following, with no less than 60 per cent in each courseEnglish 40SApplied Mathematics 40S or Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40STwo academic 40S coursesAdvanced Entry is for applicants who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
