The environmental geosciences provide earth-science students who have environmental or interdepartmental interests with a background to pursue careers or graduate studies in environmentally related geoscience fields, especially in areas related to water resources, water contamination and remediation, oceanography and climate change.Many earth scientists are interdepartmental.Geochemists deal with the chemical make-up of everything from surface and ground waters to magmas and rocks in the earth's crust with using geochemical techniques in the discovery of new mineral and energy reserves and in addressing environmental concerns with the extraction of these reserves.

Students must have completed a recognized secondary (high school) credential in your country. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) - English Language, English First Language, English Literature (other literature-based language courses will be considered). Mathematics (must be taken at AS/Adv. Level). Chemistry. 1 of either Biology or Physics. 1 elective from group 1 or 2 (a group 4 elective may be used for entrance to Computer Science only). Overall average of B or higher in the subjects above. International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) - English A: Language & Literature (other languages will be considered) Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL or HL) or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation HL. Chemistry. 1 of either Biology or Physics. 1 elective from group 1 or 2 (*a group 4 elective may be used for entrance to Computer Science only). Overall average of 4 or higher in the subjects above
