Human Kinetics is concerned with understanding capacities for, and limits of, human movement at different ages and with the role of physical activity in human health. Through the use of electives, students may structure a program emphasizing biomechanics and ergonomics, human population biology or nutrition, exercise and metabolism.Critically analyze experimental design, data analysis and interpretation in human movement, physical activity and exercise science research from the lab to the classroom.Explore the biological aspects of human movement, function, and performance in health, aging, and chronic disease and study nutrition, physiology, biomechanics, anatomy, genetics, and genomics throughout the programTake the opportunity to complete an in-depth research course with a faculty member in a discipline related to your interests and career goals.

The secondary school graduation certificate which would admit a student to an internationally recognized university in their home country is normally acceptable for admission to the University of Guelph.Students presenting predicted, interim or midterm grade 12/senior level results may be considered for a conditional offer of admission if all prerequisite courses are completed or in progress and meeting the minimum grade requirements. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with 6 subjects: 3 Higher Level and 3 Standard Level with a minimum score of 28. Bonus marks from TOK and EE will be taken into consideration. Prerequisites for the major must be taken at the IB DP2 level.Note: For programs with Advanced Math, students must present one of: SL/HL Analysis & Approaches, or HL Applications & Interpretations. Math Studies/Standard Level Applications and Interpretations are not an acceptable prerequisite for programs that require Advanced Math or Calculus.
