In the two-year Diploma in Gerontology program, students develop advanced skills and knowledge for positions related to program development, administration, and management. Graduates are prepared to provide innovative services to older adults that prevent social isolation, promote mental, physical, and emotional health, and support older adults to age in place while staying active in their communities.Our students are passionate about working with older adults and develop practical skills and knowledge to meet the needs of this rapidly growing population. We value our connections with the local senior-serving agencies who contribute to our program through guest presentations, field trips, and especially, practicum placement opportunities.

شروط القبول

للطلاب الدوليين

Students must have a BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent).

English Language Requirements

A minimum 70% in English First Peoples 12, English Studies 12, or Literary Studies 12;
Langara English Test (LET) with a score of 3;
An 'S' grade in ENGL 1107 or 1110; or a minimum 'C' grade in ENGL 1120;
A minimum 'C-' grade in an English (Post-Secondary Transfer) course;
Bachelor's degree or higher from an English-speaking country completed at a recognized institution where the language of instruction is English;
IB English A (HL or SL) or IB English Literature and Performance (SL) with a score of 3;
AP English Literature and Composition or AP English Language and Composition with a score of 2; or
A minimum 'C' grade in GCSE O-Level English, GCSE English Language B
