This MA is a research-oriented program in educational studies for students interested in any areas offered in the department.This is a thesis-based degree and you will conduct your own independent research. You will consider the expertise of faculty members in the area and work with your supervisor to develop an individualized program of study culminating in a substantial research contribution to the field.Students in this program will:understand the depth and breadth of educational research, critically engage with educational research, being able to read and engage with research studies, align theoretical constructs to methodologies, understand and apply ethical principles to researchfocus on a specific area of focus and conduct research, share research findings in diverse ways to diverse audiencesThe Department of Curriculum & Instruction offers graduate programs at the Masters’ and Doctoral levels. We offer both full and part-time programs, on campus and in a range of community locations. Our department is home to 28 full-time faculty members, and we offer excellent research assistant and teaching opportunities with world-class scholars.The Department of Curriculum & Instruction offers MA and PhD programs focused on educational research, with coursework intended to provide foundational knowledge enabling a focus on researching in a specific area.
