As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist (DIT) you'll be a vital part of healthcare teams working closely with patients across all stages of care. This advanced diploma program is the second of its kind in Ontario to offer specialized training in MRI ultrasound or X-rayCT. You'll build skills required for delivering patient-centred care in a variety of healthcare settings. Specialize in MRI ultrasound or X-rayCT In your first year you'll gain foundational knowledge about how MRI ultrasound and X-rayCT equipment capture images. You'll then take specialized courses in your chosen discipline during Year 2 and Year 3 of the program. After you graduate you can obtain your second diagnostic imaging specialty within one academic year by completing seven more courses. Hands-on learning and real-world experience Your learning journey will be supported by cutting-edge technologies and innovative experiences including augmented reality (AR) virtual reality (VR) and high-fidelity mannequins. You'll start gaining real-world experience in Year 2 of the program working in a hospital setting. By the time you graduate you'll have completed more than 1300 supervised clinical hours.
