The pre-veterinary studies meets the application requirements for the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) at the University of Saskatchewan. Each year the WVCM reserves 15 positions for qualified students from Manitoba. Students can pursue a 4-year Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) in Animal Systems following these 2-year studies.Pre-Veterinary Studies is a two-year program designed to meet the admission requirements for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM).

Direct Entry applicants are those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college. Direct entry applicants require the followingManitoba high school graduation including 5 full credits at the Grade 12 level in courses designated S,G, or UA minimum average of 70 per cent over the following courses, with no less than 60 per cent in each courseEnglish 40SApplied Mathematics 40S or Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40STwo academic 40S coursesAdvanced Entry Advanced entry is for applicants who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution.
