AS in Pre-Middle Childhood Education: Mathematics/Natural Sciences

Middle childhood educators teach students in grades 4-9 in Ohio. They guide students to delve deeply into academic content while supporting social and civic engagement. Pre-Middle Childhood Education majors must specialize in two content areas selected from: English language arts, mathematics, science, or social studies. As an aspiring middle school teacher, this program will help you understand the complex human and social factors involved in educating students, as well as practices that support diversity and lifelong learning. A bachelor’s degree in education is the minimum requirement to become a teacher.
