The Bachelor of Arts in Spanish is designed for students who want to enrich their lives with the in-depth knowledge of Hispanic culture, literature, and language. It is meant to encourage the dissemination of knowledge of the Hispanic-speaking world both on and off-campus, and to encourage reciprocal communication between peoples the world over. With a BA in Spanish, you will find opportunities in areas such as international careers, health and social services, translation and interpretation agencies, the fields of international communication and information services, science, the arts, education, foreign service, government, business – particularly the automotive industry in Michigan – banking, and tourism. A major in Spanish will allow you to continue in many graduate programs.
