The Literature and Culture Concentration in the Bachelor of Arts in English is offered through the College of Liberal Arts at MTSU. Literature and Culture gives students an interdisciplinary context, helping prepare them to engage with different aspects of popular and intellectual culture.This program considers the role and impact of literature within various cultures around the world and touches on topics such as major British writers, early American literature, native American literature, multicultural literature, early women writers, black women as writers, children literature, folklore, the relationship of gender in writing, science fiction, and linguistics.
