The BA program in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies is designed to provide students with a flexible, broad-based education in theatre. Students in this program have the option to pursue a particular specialization within the study of theatre, such as stage management, design, directing or dramaturgy, or can couple their study of theatre with a non-theatrical discipline such as business, social justice, psychology or art. The course of study for a student enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies Program can be customized to the student’s particular interests and career goals. The Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies Program is housed in the Interdisciplinary Conservatory of the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA). Our faculty is comprised of full-time professors as well as many active theatre professionals who lend their unique talents and expertise to our Conservatories. At CCPA, our students learn from and work alongside the very best, and a low student/faculty ratio results in a focused study that is tailored to each student's needs.

A freshman applicant is defined as an individual who has completed or will complete a high school degree or its equivalent and has fewer than 12 transferrable college credit hours. The admission requirements for freshman applicants are as follows: Roosevelt requires applicants to attain a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 for at least 3 years of study. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to Roosevelt University. If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts. Roosevelt is test-optional. If you have taken the ACT or SAT we encourage you to send your scores, though these are not required for admission.
