The Department of Mathematics, located in Everett Tower, is one of the largest and oldest academic departments at Western Michigan University, being among 12 departments listed in the University's first bulletin, published in 1904. Major programs include mathematics, applied mathematics and secondary mathematics education at the bachelors, masters and doctoral levels, in addition to numerous minors and general education courses.
