The DePaul double bass studio brings together the talent, experience, and insight of four of Chicago's leading bass players. Alex Hanna, Michael Hovnanian, Robert Kassinger​ of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Jeremy Attanaseo comprise the classical bass teaching team. The result is a learning environment reflecting the Chicago music scene: world-class, diverse, hard-working, and innovative. ​The Bachelor of Arts in Music degree is intended for students who wish to combine the study of music with liberal arts and sciences. In addition to music courses, the program is comprised of a broad range of liberal studies courses, along with a year of modern language. Students also take advanced courses in music, developing research skills, which culminate in a final project or paper. The Bachelor of Arts in Music degree prepares students for a variety of careers related to music.​​​​​
