The Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Music Studies combines the same high-quality experiences of the Bachelor of Music degree with the flexibility of more electives. This degree is a perfect fit for students who are seeking double majors in music and some other area and for the non-traditional music learner. It may fulfill the requirements for entrance into a Master of Music program it does not provide preparation for teacher certification in music.
Student Learning Outcomes
SLO 1: Students will demonstrate proficiency in music theory as demonstrated on a summative assessment.
SLO 2: Students will communicate an understanding of music history through formal written composition.
SLO 3: Students will deliver a successful performance in a senior recital.
