The B.S. program in Middle-Level Social Studies Education offers a robust foundation for teaching history, geography, and economics to students in grades 6–8. The program also equips you with instructional strategies to support multilingual learners through integrated ESL preparation. You’ll study the foundations of social science education, work alongside faculty and mentor teachers, and develop inclusive instructional strategies that serve all students including multilingual learners. The curriculum integrates content knowledge, field experiences, and teaching methods focused on adolescent learners.
