This is a degree with immediately practical use. Our goal is to make this a degree that can get you into your career, or provide a foundation for graduate studies. This is a degree that is closely aligned with Mathematics, but includes computational statistics, data analysis, probability theory, and research skills. Your mathematics will include calculus and linear algebra.You’ll begin with foundational courses in mathematics and theory. As you move into more advanced classes, you’ll encounter numerical analysis, stochastic processes, and applied statistical methods such as contingency tables, loglinear models, simple random and stratified sampling, and ratio and regression estimators. And you’ll have access to industry-standard Statistical Computing Software packages.
