BS Psychological Sciences

We offer the Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences (BS) degree to students interested in a more science-oriented curriculum to better prepare them for further study in science-oriented psychology graduate programs (e.g., neuroscience, quantitative psychology) or medical school (e.g., Doctor of Medicine/MD, psychiatry), or other health-related graduate programs (e.g., pharmacy, physical therapy). The required science track is not noted on the BS diploma or transcripts, but students can indicate the science track on resumes and/or graduate school application forms.Students will integrate key concepts of another scientific discipline to psychology to gain an interdisciplinary understanding of mind, brain and behavior.Graduates will apply and integrate psychological concepts and theories to solve practical problemsGraduates will communicate psychological concepts effectively, utilizing advanced technological skills for diverse purposes and audiences.Graduates will design and evaluate psychological research, employing scientific reasoning and statistical analysis to address psychological variables.Graduates will apply ethical standards and psychological principles to improve mental health, community well-being and/or intercultural interactions.Graduates will make informed professional decisions to prepare strategically for post-graduation careers.
